Our Stocktaking Service

Every manager dreads the annual stocktake - its a tiring, dirty, boring job which takes up valuable staff time and seems never to be finished within the time allowed for it.

And after the continuous counting there's the hours of drudgery in the office afterwards sorting out and compiling the figures.

In our experience this is not a cost effective use of your and your staff's time.

The quickest and most cost effective system we operate uses hand held stocktaking machines to count the stock as the valuers comes to it, thus reducing the chance of any stock being missed.

During the count the stock is broken down into as many different commodities as the client may require, ensuring that the breakdowns are in line with the client's till departments.

The stock is first calculated at retail and then a set discount is applied, taking into account variances between departments, to revert the retail stock figure to a realistic cost figure.

This system gives the necessary accuracy as required by the standard yearly or interim audits and all auditors that have been present with us on stock valuations have always agreed and approved of our stocktaking system and it's accuracy.
